Wiwynn Corporation presented its 48V server platform based on next-generation Intel Xeon processors (code Skylake) at the OCP USA Summit
Wiwynn Corporation, a leading provider of cloud infrastructure and data center rack solutions for high-quality computing and storage products, previewed its 48V server platform M1 at the OCP Summit, which will be presented at Booth B3. The server platform design will not only meet the growing demand for 48V servers and reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO), but also meet the increasing power needs of emerging cpus. Wiwynn Corporation will further solidify its leadership in cloud computing with the launch of its first Open Compute Project (OCP) platform using 48-V power technology. The power technology is suitable for various types of servers and cpus.
Wiwynn Corporation's M1 is based on a new generation Intel® Xeon® processor (code Skylake), which provides more efficient solutions than traditional 12V multi-phase solutions. Vicor's Factorized Power Architecture™ will be implemented. With Vicor's 48V direct point of Load product family, system designers can implement a green distributed system solution with high conversion efficiency, high power density and low distribution losses through a centralized 48V Bus Bar. In addition, the use of Vicor solutions will also achieve additional performance benefits, including reducing the footprint of the VR area near the CPU, transient performance and peak power supply.
