Vishay Intertechnology has announced enhancements to its MIL-PRF-55342 certified E/H Series precision thin-film surface-mount resistor chips to provide "T" class failure rates for critical aerospace applications. These QPL devices are certified with TCR characteristics E, H, K, L, and M and are available in 12 form factors.

These QPL devices are certified with TCR characteristics E, H, K, L, and M and are available in 12 form factors.

     To ensure that the Vishay Dale Thin Film resistors have A certain reliability, these devices undergo 100% screening and extensive environmental testing, including 100% Group A power regulation and Group B sampling tests, through which the devices are graded to achieve a "T" class failure rate. In addition, these thin film resistors meet the requirements of ASTM-E595 for outlet gas in a vacuum environment.

     The E/H series was developed for satellite and communications applications with stringent performance requirements, and all coil terminations are spattered for good adhesion and dimensional consistency. In order to work at +150℃, the device uses an electroplated nickel barrier layer, and also uses a TAMELOX resistance core, and a high-purity aluminum substrate to make the power level of the device reach 1000W.

     In addition to ultra-low noise of less than -25dB and a voltage factor of less than 0.1ppm/W, the E/H series resistors have absolute TCR as low as ±25ppm/ ° C, laser-fine-tuned tolerances as low as ±0.1%, and offer different resistance values from 10Ω to 6.19MΩ, depending on the form factor and TCR characteristics. These devices have a stable storage life of ±0.01% and are packaged in antistatic tray or roll-type packaging.
