Vishay launches the first three devices in its VOR family of hybrid solid-state relays
Vishay introduces the first three devices in its VOR family of hybrid solid-state relays that provide high reliability and noise-free switching for communications, industrial, security systems and medical devices. The new Vishay Semiconductors 1 Form A VOR1142A6, VOR1142B6 and VOR1142M4 offer high input/output isolation, current limit protection and lower power consumption to replace traditional mechanical relays with lower reliability and shorter service life.
The relay is a normally open single pole single throw (SPST) switch. To simplify the customization process, the device is modular and consists of a GaAIAs(Aluminum gallium arsenide)IRED action control and MOSFETs for switching outputs.
These single-way relays are available in DIP-6 (VOR1142A6), SMD-6 (VOR1142B6), and SOP-4 (VOR1142M4) packages. Isolated test voltages up to 5300V/1min for devices in SMD-6 and DIP-6 packages and 3750V/1min for devices in smaller SOP-4 packages. Typical on-resistance for all relays is as low as 22Ω, load current up to 140mA, load voltage up to 400V, and typical on-current down to 0.25mA. Devices are VDE and UL certified to meet the higher isolation requirements of most applications.
The VOR1142A6, VOR1142B6 and VOR1142M4 are electrically isolated, enabling complete, bouncless switching over ambient temperatures ranging from -40 ° C to +100 ° C. Typical applications include line, load, ground, signal and alarm switches, I/O cards, ground isolation, electromechanical noise isolation, automation devices, automatic test equipment, and motor drives. The device is packaged with coil and tube, meets RoHS and Vishay green standards, and is halogen-free.
