Vishay introduces a new series of compact 2512 packaging automotive grade thick diaphragm type resistors

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of a new family of compact 2512 automotive thick diaphragm resistors, the CDMA series, with operating voltages up to 1415 V. Vishay Techno CDMA Series resistors reduce the number of system components and machining costs for automotive and industrial applications while reducing PCB size and improving accuracy and stability.

     This type of resistor divider integrates two resistors in a single package with a 5mm creepage distance. A single device replaces multiple discrete resistors used in voltage divider applications. This space-saving device is AEC-Q200 certified and is particularly suitable for use in electric vehicles (EVs) and industrial equipment high-power DC/DC converters and inverters, on-board chargers, and battery management systems for voltage monitoring and overvoltage protection.

     CDMA family devices have resistance ranges from 500 kΩ to 50 MΩ with a maximum standard resistance ratio of 600:1, tolerance of only ± 0.5 %, and TCR tracking as low as ± 10 ppm/°C. Chip dividers are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and come in standard three-sided coil with solder coated nickel separator terminals.
