Vishay introduces IGBT power modules in INT-A-PAK package with improved design to reduce on-off and switching losses
Vishay Intertechnology announced, Introduced five new half-bridge IGBT power modules in an improved INT-A-PAK package -VS-GT100TS065S, VS-GT150TS065S, VS-GT200TS065S, VS-GT100TS065N and VS-GT200TS065N. Manufactured using Vishay's Trench IGBT technology, these new devices offer designers two industry-leading technology options - low VCE(ON) or low Eoff - to reduce high current inverter level on-off or switching losses for transportation, energy and industrial applications.
The half-bridge device uses the Trench IGBT, which is more energy efficient than other devices on the market, and is packaged with a fourth-generation FRED Pt anti-parallel diode with ultra-soft reverse recovery characteristics. Module Small INT-A-PAK package with new gate pin layout, 100% compatible with 34 mm industry standard package, can be replaced with mechanical plug.
This industrial-grade device can be used in power inverters for a variety of applications, including railway equipment; Power generation, distribution and storage systems; Welding equipment; Motor drives and robots. In order to reduce the on-loss of the output stage of TIG welder, VS-GT100TS065S, VS-GT150TS065S and VS-GT200TS065S are at +125 C, rated current, and the collector-emitter voltage is only ≤ 1.07V, reaching the industry's advanced level. The VS-GT100TS065N and VS-GT200TS065N are suitable for high frequency power applications with very low switching loss, +125 C, rated current, and Eoff of only 1.0 mJ.
The module is RoHS compliant with A collector-emitter voltage of 650 V, A collector continuous current of 100 A to 200 A, and an extremely low thermal resistance to the junction to the housing. The device is UL E78996 certified, can be directly installed heat sink, low EMI, reducing the requirement for absorption circuit.
