Vector and Hubject are collaborating to further advance plug and charge

     Vector and Hubject are collaborating to further advance plug and play (PnC) technology and simplify the EV charging process. With more than 2.6 million PNC-Ready vehicles already on the market and more electric vehicles coming soon, this partnership helps accelerate the adoption and implementation of PnC technology.

     Through this partnership, Oems and charging station manufacturers can now obtain Hubject QA (pre-production) and production certificates through Vector Security Manager and use the latest Version of the development and testing tool CANoe Version 18 SP3. Vector Security Manager links vector tools and OEM-specific security implementations. With it, security functions can be used uniformly across tools. Testing electric vehicles and EVses with Vector's CANoe test Package EV or CANoe Test Package EVSE, product quality assurance and production certificates are essential. This integration ensures that vehicles and charging stations meet ISO 15118 standards for interoperability, consistency and market readiness.

     PnC provides a seamless user experience. It eliminates the need for a physical card or mobile app to verify and initiate charging, streamlining the process and making EVs more attractive to potential buyers. Technically, PnC uses digital certificates and encryption to ensure a secure connection between EVs and EVses, protecting user data and charging infrastructure.
