The unmanaged 16-port industrial Ethernet switch supports operation in harsh environments

     Red Lion introduces the N-Tron NT116 unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch, designed for mission-critical applications that require reliable performance under demanding conditions.

     Unmanaged switches provide superior reliability and performance for data acquisition, Ethernet I/O, and process control. Compact, including 16 high-performance copper ports (10/100BaseTX RJ45), the unit is housed in a rugged industrial metal housing. The device has high shock and vibration resistance, and all ports have built-in ESD and lightning protection. Users benefit from an excellent 1.2 million hour MTBF rating, an ultra-thin, space-saving design that operates at temperatures from -40 ° C to 85 ° C.

     The device supports full-line speed communication up to 3.2Gb/s throughput to provide robust network support. The unit adopts store-and-forward technology to support full-duplex and half-duplex operations. Provides two 10-49VDC power supplies for redundancy.

     The device is the next evolution of the company's 116TX unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch. In addition to being compliant with IEEE 802.3 and Marine, rail and rolling stock certifications, the new switches also have UL Common and Hazardous place certifications as well as ATEX and IECEx certifications.

     The new equipment makes it easier to collect critical performance data.
