The industry's first certified Bluetooth Mesh product uses the Cypress solution

     Cypress Semiconductor, a leader in advanced embedded system solutions, today announced that its Internet of Things (IoT) single-chip solution provides a global leader in Bluetooth Technology Alliance (SIG) certified Bluetooth mesh connectivity for consumer products. LEDVANCE recently announced the market's first certified Bluetooth meshLED lighting product based on Cypress Bluetooth mesh technology.

     Cypress's three combo chips and the latest Wireless Internet Connectivity for Embedded Devices (WICED) software development Kit (SDK) support state-of-the-art Bluetooth mesh networking capabilities. Cypress solutions enable low-cost, low-power mesh networking of devices through simple, secure and ubiquitous Bluetooth connectivity, enabling devices to connect to each other and to smartphones, tablets and voice-controlled home assistance devices.

     In the past, users needed to be near a Bluetooth device to control it, otherwise they needed to add a hub. Now, thanks to Bluetooth mesh networking technology, devices within the network can communicate with other devices, and even the largest home can be easily covered. Users can easily control all their devices through apps on their smartphones and tablets.
