The Sensirion digital flowmeters are designed for high-flow applications

The Sensirion SFM4200 sensor is a digital flowmeter designed for high-flow applications. It can accurately measure the flow rate of air, oxygen and other non-corrosive gases. The SFM4200 is intended for traffic up to 160 slm. It operates at pressures of up to 8 bar and can withstand bursts of up to 13 bar. The SFM4200 uses a 5 V working supply voltage and has a digital two-wire I²C interface. The measurement results are internally linearized and temperature compensated.

The sensor's outstanding performance is based on the patented Sensirion CMOSens sensor technology, which combines thermal sensor elements, signal processing and digital calibration elements on a single microchip. The gas flow rate is measured by the thermal sensor element, which ensures very fast signal processing time and high precision bidirectional measurement capability. This proven and reliable CMOSens technology is ideal for high quality, mass production and demanding, low-cost OEM applications
