Texas Instruments introduces precision isolator comparator

The Texas Instruments AMC23C10 Precision Isolated comparator has a short response time and is specifically designed for zero-crossing detection of high-voltage signals that must be isolated from low-voltage circuit current. The leak-open and push-pull outputs are separated from the input circuit by an isolation gate with high anti-magnetic interference capability. The isolator is certified to provide enhanced current isolation up to 5kVRMS in compliance with VDE 0884-17 and UL1577 standards. It also supports operating voltages up to 1kVPK.

The device provides leak-open and push-pull outputs with propagation delays of less than 320ns. Integrated Low voltage difference (LDO) regulators support a 3V to 27V operating voltage range on the high voltage side, so the comparator can be powered from a variety of sources. The operating voltage range on the low voltage side is 2.7V to 5.5V. Texas Instruments AMC23C10 is available in an 8-pin, wide-body SOIC package that operates in an extended industrial temperature range from -- 40°C to +125°C.
