Texas Instruments' SPDT CMOS switch features 1.8V logic control and can be used with single, dual, or asymmetric power supplies
Texas Instruments TMUX6219 is a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) switch in a single-channel SPDT configuration. The device can use a single power supply (4.5V to 36 V), a dual power supply (± 4.5V to ±18 V), or an asymmetric power supply (VDD: 5 V, VSS: -8 V). The device supports bidirectional analog and digital signals from VSS to VDD on the source (Sx) and drain (D) pins.
TMUX6219 is enabled or disabled by controlling the EN pin. When the signal path is disabled, the signal path switch is disabled. When enabled, SEL pins can open signal path 1 (S1 to D) or signal path 2 (S2 to D). The logic control input supports the logic level range from 1.8V to VDD, ensuring TTL and CMOS logic compatibility when operating within the effective power supply voltage range. Fail-safe logic circuits allow the control pin voltage to be applied before the power pin, thereby protecting the device from potential damage.
The TMUX6219 is part of the precision switch and multiplexer family. These devices have ultra-low on/off leakage current and low charge injection, making them suitable for high precision measurement applications.
