TDK introduces new AC programmable power supply

     TDK Corporation has introduced the TDK-Lambda brand GENESYS AC (GAC) and GENESYS AC PRO (GA-Pro) series of 2kVA and 3kVA rated programmable AC power supplies. These latest products represent a considerable expansion of test and measurement capabilities over the current GENESYS family of 750W to 90kW programmable DC power supplies. The GAC and GAC-PRO chassis are 1U in height, providing the highest power density for fully functional programmable AC power supplies.

     The GAC-PRO provides a higher level of DC functionality, supporting AC, DC, or combined AC + DC operation. As standard, these models can achieve full constant power and current in DC mode and have advanced features such as waveform generation and harmonic analysis. GENESYS AC PRO also includes real-time analog control capabilities for more complex test scenarios, such as hardware-in-the-loop (HIL). Other applications of the device include automated test equipment, avionics airborne equipment, aircraft power, defense (RTCA, Boeing, Airbus standards), automotive, electric vehicle and power supply testing.

     TDK-Lambda's advanced parallel systems offer features comparable to a single power supply. The 2kVA and 3kVA units can be combined by the user to provide additional power and provide a polyphase output. Front panel controls can use capacitive touch displays, providing greater robustness than mechanical switches. Available in a variety of languages including Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.

     Standard LAN, USB, RS232, RS485 and analog programming/monitoring, IEEE/GPIB optional. The included remote GUI software allows the user full control and sequential programming, plus the option to use pre-programmed test standards for common IEC, aerospace and Marine testing. These standards will significantly reduce test time, consistency, and labor costs compared to traditional manual setup.

The 5-year warranty series is IEC/EN/UL 61010-1 safety certified, has CE and UKCA marks and complies with low voltage, EMC and RoHS directives. These models also comply with the conducted and radiated EMI (Class A) and EMC immunity of IEC/EN 61204-3.
