STMicroelectronics introduces a new series of STM32 microcontrollers

     STMicroelectronics introduces the new STM32H7 series microcontroller with record computing performance. The new family of built-in STM32 platforms has the highest storage capacity of SRAM(1MB), up to 2MB of flash memory and the widest variety of communication peripherals, paving the way for the goal of making smarter hardware ubiquitous.

     The highly advanced 40nm chip manufacturing process independently developed by STMicroelectronics, combined with product architecture innovation, greatly improves the computing performance of the new series of products, fully plays the processor core performance, transmits data at ultra-high speed inside the system, and runs at less than 280uA/MHz. Standby power consumption less than 7uA. The power consumption is reduced by half compared with the previous generation. The first product in the new family is the STM32H743, based on the 400MHz ARM® Cortex®-M7 core.

     As the highest performance microcontroller on the market based on ARM's highest performance Cortex-M core, the STM32H7 microcontroller is best suited for industrial gateways, home automation, telecommunications equipment and smart consumer electronics, as well as small appliances with high performance motor control, home appliance products and user interface features. The new product also integrates advanced security features, including cryptographic algorithm accelerators and secure key storage, ensuring that iot hardware data is secure against cyber threats in the factory and in the field, making it the best choice for iot hardware developers.
