STMicroelectronics announces 100W wireless charging receiver chip

     STMicroelectronics has launched the 100W wireless charging receiver chip, which is the highest rated wireless charging receiver chip in the industry, for the fastest wireless charging in the current market. Using STMicro's new chip, the STWLC99, a high-end smartphone with the largest battery can be fully charged in less than 30 minutes.

     In addition to improving user convenience, high-power wireless charging technology allows designers to create industrial devices without power sockets and power cords, bringing a variety of benefits to end users. Eliminating the charging socket saves circuit board space and strengthens the device's water - and dust-proof seal, making it easier to operate in challenging environments.

     The STWLC99 comes in a 4.859m x 4.859mm wafer-scale chip package (WLCSP) with wireless charging technology that avoids the annoying problem of wire entangling. Independently mobile devices such as robots and drones can be easily charged without a machine or human connection to a charging cable.
