STMicroelectronics' PC version MCU Finder selection tool
STMicroelectronics has released its PC version of the MCU Finder selection tool, which allows embedded developers to directly view key information for STM32 and STM8 microcontrollers in the desktop environment for ST MCU application development.
Following the functionality of the popular ST MCU Finder selection tool ST-MCU-Finder on mobile, the PC version ST-MCU-Finder-PC provides users with convenient selection tools, self-maintenance documentation and access to the ST MCU developer community. The new ST MCU Finder Selection tool for PC supports Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, enabling embedded developers to integrate all MCU resources, including data and tools, on their computers for easy viewing and improved productivity.
Users can search ST's entire microcontroller product line, including more than 700 STM32 products and 125 STM8 products, with 54 search criteria for STM32 and 20 search criteria for the STM8 product family. These search criteria cover the full range of product features, including processor core model, CPU frequency, storage capacity, price, package, I/O ports, operating temperature levels, and peripheral interfaces such as controllers, timers, analog capabilities, communication interfaces, multimedia, and secure encryption. After the selection, directly download and run the STM32CubeMX initialization code generator in the PC version MCU Finder selection tool to start the project development.
This desktop application helps developers quickly find the data and technical resources needed for microcontroller project development. With a click of the mouse, you can view all the documents related to your selected microcontroller in one place, and you can download the files for offline viewing. Documentation is automatically updated if the latest version is available, ensuring that the PC is always loaded with the latest and most accurate technical information, eliminating the need for developers to repeat online searches.
