ST's new Multi-in-one - software tool makes it easier for STM32 users to write code
The STM32CubeProgrammer(STM32CUBEPROG) software tool provides users with STM32 microcontroller code writing and firmware upgrading capabilities in a unified, multi-platform, user-configurable environment.
The STM32CubeProgrammer supports Windows, Linux, and MacOS, and can use various file formats inside the STM32 microcontroller flash /RAM or external memory burn code. Specific functions include memory whole or sector erase option bytes. Users can also generate encrypted files required for program security write (firmware security installation update) functions, verify the authenticity of software installed on the production line, and protect intellectual property rights.
With this universal tool, users can write STM32 microcontrollers using either on-chip SWD (single-wire debug) or JTAG debug ports, or programmed boot load ports (such as UART and USB). Therefore, STM32CubeProgrammer Specifies the ST Visual Programmer, DFUse Device Firmware Update, and Flash The respective functions of Loader and ST-Link are all integrated into the STM32Cube ecosystem. St will also extend the STM32CubeProgrammer's write channel to the 12C and CAN ports of the microcontroller.
In addition, the STM32CubeProgrammer enables developers to customize and configure microcontroller functionality using a graphical user interface (GUI) or command line interface (CLI). The multi-tool can be used alone or integrated in other application software. Program writing can be done manually or automatically using a script.
