     STMicroelectronics  SRTAG NFC/RFID tags have the widest storage range in the market, the longest data retention period, the highest number of rewrites and the strongest data protection capabilities, stimulating the development potential of short-range wireless connectivity in consumer electronics, computer peripherals, home appliances, industrial automation and health care products to realize more new application opportunities.

     St's SRTAG IC provides an NFC Forum Type 4 Tag RF interface and built-in NFC data exchange format (NDEF) information support. It also expands the embedded EEPROM storage capacity from 512 bits to 64 kilobits (Kbit) for product applications including content-rich electronic business cards and smart signs. The SRTAG series provides advanced RF performance with built-in user programmable CMOS digital signal output that directly triggers host wake up without the need for external components.

     St's new NFC label offers unrivalled reliability, with a data retention period of up to 200 years, 20 times the industry standard, and up to 1 million erasures, 10 times the industry standard. Operating temperature range -40°C-85°C ensures perfect read/write performance and durability under the harshest operating conditions.

     SRTAG's data protection features outperform existing solutions on the market, with the strongest 128-bit password protection system on the market combined with 20-bit read/write access control counters, reducing the risk of labels being copied or data being tampered with to zero.

     SRTAG applications include NFC smart posters and advertisements, image-enhanced NFC business cards, Bluetooth auto-pairing, and WiFi network secure access to NFC tokens. Other applications include asset tracking, maintenance logging, and product identification.
