     As industrial environments become more demanding, the need to ensure that DRAM modules are protected from shock and vibration has increased dramatically, especially in edge AI applications where reliability is critical. Apacer has introduced an innovative rugged stationary band designed to effectively protect DRAM modules under challenging operating conditions.

     DRAM modules face considerable challenges in maintaining stability, especially in environments prone to unavoidable shocks and vibrations, such as during transportation or in vibration-sensitive applications. Over time, these factors can cause the module to detangle from the DIMM slot, resulting in operational failure. With this problem in mind, the company's engineering team has developed a rugged solution that is a sturdy holding strap, similar to a seat belt, that ensures the UDIMM, RDIMM, and ECC UDIMM modules stay safely in place.

     The sturdy retention belt features three connection points for improved stability, distinguishing it from the traditional double connection point clip. Compatible with all modern motherboards, the solution offers universal applicability across different industrial Settings.

     The band is made of flame retardant grade polysiloxane and can withstand temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius, providing excellent elasticity without the risk of short circuits. Its excellent elasticity and flexibility can withstand even at low temperatures, providing reliable performance in a variety of environmental conditions.

     In addition, these retention bands are rigorously tested to meet the shock and vibration resistance of the defense standards MIL-STD-833K and MIL-STD-810G specifications. This validation underscores its reliability in high-speed edge AI operations, making it ideal for automated industrial production facilities, smart cities, and automated transportation systems where stability is critical.
