RT6056 High/low voltage side measurement current detection monitor
Richtek RT6056 is a high precision current detection monitor with an I²C and SMBus interface that provides complete information to the system by reading load current and power. The device monitors and detects voltage drops in resistance and bus voltage, converting current in amperes and power in watts via an internal analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Programmable calibration, adjustable conversion times and averaging features are also built in to improve design flexibility.
The RT6056 offers a wide temperature range from -40°C to +125°C with input voltages from 2.7V to 5.5V. The device can detect current across common-mode bus voltages from 0 V to 36 V. The RT6056 provides alarm functionality with leak-open output and full protection by alerting the host to overcurrent, overvoltage and overpower conditions. It comes in a small MSOP-10 package.
