Qualcomm introduces the world's leading modem and radio frequency, Qualcomm X85

     Qualcomm Technologies continues to set a new benchmark for connectivity, announcing the launch of Qualcomm X85 5G Modem and RF, the company's eighth generation 5G modem to antenna solution and the company's fourth generation AI-enabled 5G connectivity system. Designed for a new generation of connected and AI-enabled applications, the Qualcomm X85 delivers faster speeds to support seamless streaming, downloads and uploads, improves network reliability in congested areas, extends battery life and enhances location accuracy for an overall superior user experience.

     With industry-leading 5G Advanced features, the Qualcomm X85 will bring connectivity leadership to Android smartphones. The Qualcomm X85 also brings 5G Advanced capabilities to a variety of other types of devices, including PCS, fixed wireless access points, cars, XRS, and more.

     Qualcomm Technologies is working closely with the global wireless ecosystem, including carriers, infrastructure vendors, standards and management organizations, to ensure the industry is ready for commercial use of Qualcomm X85 features. Several partners have publicly expressed their support for the Qualcomm X85.

     In addition to the Qualcomm X85, Qualcomm Technologies also announced the Qualcomm X82 5G Modem and RF, a 5G modem-to-antenna solution optimized for mainstream mobile broadband applications, supporting gigabit download and upload rates. M.2 and LGA reference designs based on the Qualcomm X82 and Qualcomm X85 have also been introduced, enabling customers to accelerate development in various industries, including CPE, mobile broadband (MBB), PCS, iot and other endpoints.

     The Qualcomm X85 and Qualcomm X82 are being tested out to customers, and commercial terminals are expected to be released in the second half of this year.
