Qorvo presents the industry's broadest DOCSIS 3.1 portfolio

     Qorvo, a leading provider of RF solutions for mobile devices, infrastructure and aerospace and defense applications, showcased its broad DOCSIS 3.1 portfolio at the SCTE 2015 Wired Technology Show in New Orleans. The Cable Data Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) 3.1 is the next generation standard for CATV systems, enabling higher bandwidth to support increasingly popular data-intensive services such as HDTV and video-on-demand. Qorvo offers more than 60 products that support DOCSIS 3.1, including front-driver gain units, push-pull amplifiers, and power multiplier amplifiers, attenuators, and switches.

     Jeff Heynen, Director of research and development for broadband Access and Pay TV at IHS Technology, said: "As cable operators migrate their systems to DOCSIS 3.1, companies like Qorvo are providing an end-to-end backbone to help them make the transition. It is important to ensure that all key components are in place; This will begin later this year, and customers will experience even faster transfer speeds next year with the deployment of DOCSIS 3.1."
