Pulse's IATF-certified current detection transformer is designed for automotive high-performance applications
The PMS9505 series of Pulse Electronics from YAGEO has a unique construction. The primary winding is moulded into a plastic base to form a strong insulating barrier to achieve enhanced insulation, conforming to IEC60664/IEC60950-1, with operating voltages up to 300 VRMS.
The PMS9505 features current sensing from a low DCR primary, allowing a current rating of 30 ARMS with turning ratios ranging from 1:50 to 1:180. Many automotive applications require enhanced insulation, where current needs to be measured across different ground planes. This is a typical requirement for electric vehicle (EV) on-board chargers (OBCs) and DC-to-DC converters. The PMS9505 is designed to meet these requirements.
