Omron Electronics extends its wide range of MOSFET relays

     Omron Electronic Components Europe has extended its extensive MOSFET relay with two new devices. The new Omron G3VM-401 and G3VM-601 provide high dielectric strength and operating temperature for meters and industrial control applications. The new G3VM-41UR pot is a highly responsive device that provides low on-resistance and output capacitance in an ultra-compact VSON package for test and measurement applications, particularly ATE.

     They are very energy efficient and have a very low trigger current of 2 mah. The G3VM-401 can handle load currents up to 400V at 120mA, while the G3VM-601 can handle load currents up to 600V at 90mA. The new G3VM-41UR offers a low CxR of only 10pF*Ohm and can handle currents up to 40V at 0.25A - excellent for a device of this size.

     It is an excellent compact alternative to SOP4 packaged devices and reed relays. Its low on-resistance is only 2 ohms and low output capacitance is only 5pF, making it ideal for switching test signals in ATE systems as well as other test, measurement and communication equipment applications.

     And for meter designers, operating temperature can be a particular challenge because the units need to be sealed to prevent tampering. The new devices solve this problem because they can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 110 degrees Celsius. They also provide high dielectric strength at 5,000V rms AC. The device is in surface mount and through-hole form with SPST-NO contacts.
