ON Semiconductor's list of the 100 Most Sustainable Companies

     Onsemi, a leader in smart power and smart sensing technology, announced that it was named to Barron's list of America's 100 Most Sustainable Companies. Barron's assesses 1,000 large public companies on 230 environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance metrics, with the top 100 companies selected for the annual list. Anson has been on the list for six consecutive years since the selection was first launched in 2018.

     The inclusion of Onsemi highlights its leadership in managing, implementing and disclosing sustainability and ESG goals. The company describes its indicators and progress in its annual Sustainability report. And to establish a standard ESG reporting framework in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the Accounting Standards Board for Sustainable Development (SASB), the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project), as well as complete disclosure efforts to improve transparency in ESG performance, Stakeholders can compare different indicators.

     "ESG data helps assess the overall situation of a company to inform investment decisions," said Kim Luu, senior director and head of Sustainability and ESG at Onsemi. The importance of ESG analytics in the investment process is becoming more and more important, and companies should ensure that investors and other stakeholders have access to such data and communicate how to address climate change in the development of business strategies and operations to enhance company value."

     Onsemi's disclosure is open and transparent, and it has received industry-leading high scores from well-known ESG rating firms such as Institutional Shareholders Services(ISS), MSCI and Sustainalytics, Helped make Barron's list.

     Barron's has teamed up with Calvert, a leader in ESG investing, to create a list of the most sustainable companies. Calvert looked at more than 230 ESG performance indicators from seven rating firms, including ISS, MSCI and Sustainalytics, as well as other data and Calvert's internal research to select the top 1,000 listed companies by market capitalization, Companies are ranked based on their performance in five key factors: shareholders, employees, customers, community and the planet.
