ON Semiconductor introduces high performance field cut-off IGBTs
ON Semiconductor has introduced a new family of Field Stop insulated gate bipolar junction transistors (IGBTs) aimed at industrial motor control and consumer products. The NGTB15N120, NGBT20N120 and NGBT25N120 are used in high-performance power conversion solutions for a wide range of demanding applications, including induction cookers, rice cookers and other small kitchen appliances.
Rising energy prices and environmental factors surrounding carbon emissions continue to drive the demand for higher performance power discrete components, especially in high-power electromagnetic induction and inverter applications. These new 1,200-volt (V) rated IGBTs use deep groove technology and advanced wafer thinning and processing technology to provide extremely low turn-off losses while maintaining a low on-state voltage during on-off, thus providing lower switching and conductive losses.
Available in 15 amp (A), 20 A and 25 A current ratings, these devices are packaged in combination with extremely low forward voltage drop and soft recovery fast rectifiers to meet customers' stringent requirements for high energy efficiency while providing them with a complete solution with high space utilization.
