ON Semiconductor introduces a new line of AEC-Q100 compliant integrated circuits (ics) to optimize next-generation automotive designs. NBA3N200/1/6S Multi-point Low-voltage Differential Signal Transmission (M-LVDS) Linear driver/receiver series operating power supply 3.3V. Both the NBA3N200S and NBA3N201S support signal transmission rates of up to 200 megabits per second (Mbps) with a common mode voltage range of -1 V to 3.4V.

     ON Semiconductor introduces a new line of AEC-Q100 compliant integrated circuits (ics) to optimize next-generation automotive designs. NBA3N200/1/6S Multi-point Low-voltage Differential Signal Transmission (M-LVDS) Linear driver/receiver series operating power supply 3.3V. Both the NBA3N200S and NBA3N201S support signal transmission rates of up to 200 megabits per second (Mbps) with a common mode voltage range of -1 V to 3.4V.

     These devices have Type-1 receivers that detect bus status with differential input voltages outside the common-mode voltage range as low as 50 millivolts (mV). Differential input voltage at the receiver lags 25 mV to prevent oscillations at the output due to slowly changing input signals or input losses. The NBA3N206S also uses a Category 2(Type-2) receiver with a threshold of 0.1V, which supports a signal transmission rate of 200 Mbps. The Class 2 receiver's bias voltage threshold function detects open circuit, idle bus, and various other failure conditions that can damage the system. These devices are used in automotive applications such as pixel headlights, specifically for the data transfer between the LED headlight control unit and the headlight.

     The 140 mV rated dual-output linear regulator NCV8154 has an input voltage range of 1.9V to 5.25V with two independent input voltage pins. This device is highly optimized for powering radio frequency (RF) modules in automotive infotainment systems, providing very stable and highly accurate voltages with ultra-low noise and high power rejection ratio (PSRR). The Low Voltage Drop (LDO) regulator NCV8170 is specifically designed for portable battery-powered applications, such as automotive keyless entry systems, where typical current consumption is only 500 nanoamperes (nA). Moreover, the dynamic transient enhancement characteristic enhances the transient response characteristic of the device. The NCV8715 is a 50 mah (mA) highly stable LDO with input voltage up to 24 V and ground current consumption of 4.7 mah (uA), which exceeds the full output load range. The device is ideal for automotive microcontroller units. The NCV8154 / NCV8715 / NCV8170 both provide thermal shutdown and current limiting protection to ensure reliable operation.

     The company also offers single n-channel MOSFETs that provide incredibly low on-conduction resistance, minimizing on-conduction losses and increasing overall operational energy efficiency. NVMFS5C404NL, NVMFS5C410NL, NVMFS5C423NL and NVMFS5C442NL with rated voltage of 40 V Typical on-resistance values at 10 V are 0.56 mΩ, 0.71 mΩ, 1.6 mΩ, and 2.2 mΩ, respectively. These devices are complemented by 60 VNVMFS5C604NL, NVMFS5C612NL, NVMFS5C646NL and NVMFS5C670NL. The typical on-resistance values at 10 V are 0.93 mΩ, 1.2 mΩ, 3.8mΩ and 5.1 mΩ, respectively. These devices expand On Semiconductor's broad MOSFET portfolio for power switches, load switches, motor control and other automotive applications.
