Intel introduces Agilex 7 FPGA with new transceiver for industry-leading data transfer speeds
Intel has announced the Intel Agilex 7 FPGA F-Tile, equipped with a market-leading field-programmable gate array (FPGA) transceiver. In today's data-centric world, the product will help customers meet challenges in bandwidth-intensive areas, including data centers and high-speed networks. Designed for embedded, networking and cloud customers, the Intel Agilex 7 FPGA F-Tile is a flexible hardware solution with industry-leading transceiver performance, delivering up to 116 Gbps and enhanced 400 GbE intellectual property (IP).

Today, network operators, cloud service providers and enterprises need to address the challenges of increasing bandwidth while seeking cost-effective and flexible hardware solutions. The Agilex 7 F-Tile meets these needs, supporting networking, cloud and embedded applications, as well as bandwidth-intensive and compute-intensive applications such as IPUs (infrastructure processors). In addition, the Agilex 7 F-Tile doubles the bandwidth per channel compared to the previous generation Intel FPGA, helping the product deliver higher data traffic while reducing power consumption and meeting strict form factor constraints.
The Agilex 7 F-Tile is manufactured using Intel's 10nm SuperFin process technology, giving customers the flexibility to customize their chip designs to their specific needs. Based on multi-protocol capabilities and support, as well as faster data speeds, Intel helps customers implement new connectivity topologies in a single device. For example, the Agilex 7 F-Tile offers best-in-class versatility, supporting optical networking applications from 400 Gbps to 1.6 Tbps, as well as applications such as 25/50G passive optical networking for high-speed broadband applications or broadcast standards such as HDMI and SDI.
