     IDT announces new jitter attenuators and frequency synthesizers that deliver ultra-high performance for applications with the most stringent phase noise requirements, including JESD204B-compliant RF timing. The 8V19N407 and 8V19N408 support output frequencies up to 3 GHz, as well as 82fs (femtosecond) root-mean-square (RMS) phase noise, It meets the needs of multi-carrier GSM radio transceivers, 40 and 100 Gb Ethernet physical layers (PHYs), and other high-performance applications.

     The 8V19N407 and 8V19N408 generate clock and SYSREF signals for JESD204B subclass 1-compatible ADC/DAC converters in wireless, industrial, and radar applications. These devices are capable of outputting multiple high-performance synchronous clocks, making them ideal for applications such as high-speed Ethernet and cable TV headends.

     For wireless communication, the new device can meet GSM phase noise and blocker specifications without the need for an external filter. For the 40/100 Gigabit Ethernet physical layer, the 8V19N407 and 8V19N408 are capable of producing a low phase noise clock that reduces bit error rates and enables reliable data transmission.

     "IDT's new jitter attenuator and frequency synthesizer products simplify complex RF timing designs," said Louise Gaulin, vice president and general manager of IDT's Network Communications Business group. These highly integrated devices can replace multiple voltage controlled oscillators (VCO) and discrete components, making them ideal for applications that require best-in-class phase noise performance."

     The new device offers a wide range of outputs with frequencies ranging from 25 MHz to 3000 MHz, as well as LVDS and LVPECL amplitude-adjustable outputs. The 8V19N407 supports Ethernet frequencies, making it suitable for 40G and 100G Ethernet physical layer timing, while the 8V19N408 includes dual voltage-controlled oscillators, providing flexibility in frequency planning.
