IDT Corporation releases Ultra Low jitter series LVCMOS clock buffers

     IDT Corporation has announced a new line of clock buffers offering the best jitter performance in its class in a compact package. The 5PB11xx series LVCMOS fan out buffers have extremely low jitter, with root-mean-square additional phase jitter (12kHz to 20MHz) of less than 50fs. It provides system designers with greater buffeting tolerance than competing products to help them meet the requirements of the system clock. The series' small silicon chip size enables the DFN 8 pin size to be as small as 2mm x 2mm.

     The new buffer is ideal for high-end consumer electronics, industrial, data communications, telecommunications and computing applications where timing and board space are at a premium.

     The new buffer is available with 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 LVCMOS outputs and can support 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V power supplies and outputs. These new buffers have a low output skew of 50ps and only 14mA of core current consumption. All components of the new buffer family can operate at extended temperatures from -40 ° C to 105 ° C, making it also suitable for automotive infotainment applications.

     With the release of the 5PB11xx series, IDT has introduced the 551S and 553S 1:4 LVCMOS fan-out buffer series with additional phase jitter of less than 50fs in the industry standard 551 and 553 sizes. These devices are also available in 2mm x 2mm DFN 8 pin packages and support 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V power supplies and outputs.
