Create a complete robust system for condition monitoring, early fire detection, and process monitoring.

Compact design, can replace the traditional PC system

In the past, most of the infrared monitoring software is run and developed on the Windows operating system, from the perspective of industrial control, Windows operating system often crashes, stability is not enough. There are hidden dangers in using such an operating system to do infrared monitoring of critical equipment. The MIO series intelligent module is different, its compact structure and all-inclusive design make it a wise choice to replace the traditional PC system, no computer, no operating system, no hard disk, high reliability.

Simple setup, real-time alerts

MIO series intelligent module with 8 digital output channels, can achieve alarm or switch function, in addition to 8 4-20mA analog output channels for temperature display, data recording or closed loop control; Each channel of alert or analog output can be easily configured via a built-in Web server. Therefore, when the monitoring target temperature exceeds the preset temperature threshold, a real-time alarm can be issued without the need to use a PC or customized computer software, which greatly reduces the program evaluation process of the monitoring project and the time for customer customization software.

A single MIO intelligent I/O module can monitor up to seven thermal cameras, or a combination can support 100 devices simultaneously. MIO can support multiple FLIR thermal cameras at the same time, including the A310, AX8, and FCR series. In addition, the MIO module can be connected to the thermal camera network through the Ethernet interface at the top of the module to monitor the specified area or area of interest (ROI) and easily share the alarm results to the programmable logic controller.

Application of MIO intelligent I/O module

1, FLIR AX8 thermal camera I/O solution

The FLIR AX8 is a thermal sensor with imaging capabilities, a combination of an infrared thermal imager and a visible light camera that is compact and affordable. In combination with the MIO intelligent I/O module, automatic analysis and alarm function can be realized, which can provide real-time video of each device, and automatic alarm when the preset temperature threshold is exceeded, and temperature trend analysis function. Continuous monitoring of electrical cabinets, processing and production areas, data centers, power generation and distribution systems, transportation and public transportation, storage facilities and cold storage, providing continuous temperature monitoring and alarm for critical electromechanical equipment without periodic manual scanning.

2, FLIR A310 thermal camera I/O solution

The FLIR A310 is a fixed-mount thermal camera that can be installed almost anywhere. In combination with the MIO intelligent I/O module, built-in analysis and alarm functions can be implemented, temperature differences can be measured to assess the critical state of a given scene, analysis results, infrared images and more can be automatically emailed at a predetermined time or when an alert is issued. Helps customers identify problems ahead of time before they develop into costly failures, preventing downtime, protecting plants, and ensuring worker safety.

3, FLIR FCR series thermal camera I/O solution

The FCR series thermal cameras provide high-quality images, and a built-in video analyzer, combined with the MIO intelligent I/O module, can achieve built-in temperature measurement and alarm functions. It can be used for fire detection, security, substation thermal monitoring, waste disposal and valuable equipment monitoring, with flexible alerts via email, web, mobile app, edge image storage, digital output or VMS event notification options.

In summary, the MIO intelligent I/O module, combined with the FLIR thermal camera, allows customers to target a specified area or area of interest for monitoring, while also programming through a web server to send real-time alerts when the monitoring target temperature exceeds a preset temperature threshold. The ideal remote monitoring solution for process control, condition monitoring and fire prevention applications.

About thermal imaging

Thermal imaging is the use of imagers made of special sensors to "see" the energy released by an object. Because the wavelength of heat or infrared light is too long to detect, it cannot be seen by the human eye. What we perceive as heat energy is actually part of the electromagnetic spectrum.
