Diodes eight-pin micro logic device for extended battery life

     Diodes Incorporated has added a 74AUP2G two-gate logic device in an eight-pin DFN1210 lead-free micropackage to its advanced family of ultra-low-power CMOS logic devices. The new products extend the battery life of the next generation of ultra-thin portable products such as smartphones and tablets by supporting low voltage and low power system designs.

     These devices are supplied in a voltage range of 0.8V to 3.6V, capable of supporting ultra-low system voltages and providing standard ±4mA output currents. Static currents of less than 0.9µA ensure that static power consumption is kept low; The CPD rating generally reaches 6pF at 3.6V supply, helping to reduce dynamic power consumption.

     The new product includes seven two-gate logic functions, including AND (AND), and not (NAND), OR (OR), NOR (NOR), and XOR (XOR), as well as two three-state buffer options. The device comes in one of the world's smallest eight-pin packages, the DFN1210, with a footprint of just 1.2mm x 1.0mm and a height of just 0.35mm.

     These microdevices are designed to complement Diodes' earlier launch of advanced 74AUP2G six-pin two-gate and 74AUP1G single-gate ultra-low power logic devices. The new eight-pin pad packaged logic device is available in 5,000 single reels.
