Cypress announced the launch of two new wireless solutions

     Cypress Semiconductor, a leader in wireless connectivity solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced the launch of two new wireless solutions that provide superior co-existence and reliable connectivity and integrate high-performance 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth Low Power (BLE) technologies for iot applications. The 802.11ac solution leverages high-speed transmission to increase iot download speed and transmission distance, and reduces power consumption with fast deep sleep mode. These solutions are powered by Cypress's one-stop turnkey WICED Studio 4 iot development platform, which simplifies the work of iot developers to integrate wireless technologies.

     802.11ac-based Wi-Fi networks combine low latency, high speed, and device security certification, making them ideal wireless technologies for connecting devices to the cloud. Cypress's new, highly integrated, advanced multi-band wireless solution, CYW43455, combines high performance 802.11ac, low energy Bluetooth 4.2 and Classic Bluetooth. This composite solution is ideal for smart home devices such as security cameras that require a combination of high-speed Wi-Fi and low-power BLE for motion detection.

     Cypress's CYW54907 802.11ac microcontroller (MCU) features a high-performance 320-MHz ARM® Cortex®-R4 application processor and an advanced 802.11ac subsystem. This powerful dual-band solution Bridges multiple iot gateways and multiple simultaneous streaming audio solutions. Both solutions use dual bands of 2.4GHZ and 5GHz, offering 20MHZ, 40MHz and 80MHz channels with performance up to 433 Mbps.
