Bourns introduces the industry's first chip miniature circuit breaker assembly for battery protection

     Bourns announced the introduction of the industry's first chip miniature circuit breaker (micro thermal protection component). Bourns' battery protection solution for the new SA series of micro circuit breaker components uses a patch reflow soldering method, which reduces supply chain steps and simplifies manufacturing processes.

     Micro circuit breaker components can control abnormal excess limits, instant through excessive current, become a popular protection solution to protect lithium polymer and square battery pack overcurrent or overtemperature. While traditional circuit breaker components are welded during fabrication, the Bourns SA series can be welded directly onto the circuit board, saving battery suppliers manufacturing time and costs.

     SA miniature circuit breaker series products, thickness is only 1.09mm, can provide 60 degrees Celsius from 6A to 11A current; In addition, the bimetallic mechanism of the SA series products can withstand wet environments and provide high anti-corrosion efficiency.
