Artesyn Embedded Technologies' new line of plug-in USB external power adapters

     Artesyn Embedded Technologies has announced the launch of two new series of plug-in external power adapters, the DA5 and DA10, featuring USB output support and compliance with the latest requirements of multiple energy efficiency standards.

     The DA10 series adaptors meet both the 60950-1 and 62368-1 product safety standards, making them one of the first power supplies in the industry to offer this unique advantage. With the adoption of this new series of products, users can abandon the standardized safety standards at any time when it is necessary to upgrade the system, and easily switch to safety standards based on risk avoidance.

     These compact power supplies are not only cheap, but also have extremely low standby power output, up to 75mW, and average load efficiency of more than 76% and 79% respectively. These two series of power adapters meet the latest requirements of multiple energy efficiency standards, These include Tier 2 of the EU Code of Conduct v5, effective January 1, 2016, and the U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Star Level VI, effective February 10, 2016. Both series of power adapters also come with an almost universal AC plug to choose from.

     These two new series of adapters are built with ATson's primary control chip, whose topology helps simplify product design and reduce development costs. These two series of adapters have multiple protective designs to prevent overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit and overheating.

     Operating at temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius, these two power supplies are not only suitable for general consumer products, but also support extremely demanding applications such as test and measurement systems, networking equipment and industrial lighting systems.
