Artesyn Embedded Technologies introduces a new generation of configurable power supplies with high efficiency and power density

     Artesyn Embedded Technologies announced the second generation of its MicroMP(µMP) family of configurable power supplies. Atson's µMP power supply product line has been popular in the market, and this second generation of the µMP16 power supply product has many advantages, such as the highest output power of 1800W, which is unprecedented, the power density of 22.9W/cu.in, and the efficiency of 91%.

     Second generation µMP16 power supply products are a more cost-effective solution for electronic devices that must be able to support many different input power supplies. The power supply's housing is equipped with six slots, allowing users to configure their own power output with a variety of adjustable power modules ranging from 0.9V to 60V. As the output is up to 12 channels, it can be flexibly matched, so that the output configuration is endless. When multiple µMP16 modules are connected in series, the system's output voltage can be as high as 360V(DC).

     The µMP series power supply is widely used in magnetic resonance imaging systems, computed tomography and positron emission computed tomography systems, microbial diagnostic systems, test and measurement instruments, and various industrial equipment such as paper processing machines. This new generation of power supplies provides new capabilities for these and many other applications and ensures greater flexibility in practical applications. The new generation of µMP power supply products features a new design with a higher degree of integration of the digital circuit, resulting in greater stability than the first generation, and 36% less noise generated by the cooling fan.

     This series of µMP power supplies is another new product line in ATsen's configurable power supply family, which has long been known for its superior performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness. In addition, ATsen also provides users with a simple and intuitive control software supported by a GUI interface, which they can use with various configurable power products. Since this software can display the input voltage, current and temperature values in real time, and all the numbers are clear at a glance, users can monitor the system performance in real time through this control software, so that the monitoring work is more flexible.

     The new µMP16 configurable power supply is designed to ensure high efficiency and stability even in extremely harsh environments. In other words, the µMP16 can operate at its rated power over a temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. This series of power supply products can withstand impact forces in excess of 50G, and comply with MIL-STD-810G requirements for vibration tolerance, MTBF reliability calculation value of more than 350,000 hours at full load operation. In addition, this series of power products are also coated with three anti-paint coating models to choose from.

     Fully compliant with EN60601-1 and UL ES60601-1 medical device safety standards, as well as Double insulated Patient Protection (2X MOPP) medical device safety standards, this series of power supplies is suitable for medical devices that are not in contact with patients and do not have a critical impact on patient health.
