Analog Devices' AD-SYNCHRONA14-EBZ board simplifies clock allocation and multi-channel synchronization in complex systems
ADI's AD-SYNCHRONA14-EBZ is an ideal standalone device for evaluating and prototyping applications requiring high precision frequency and phase control source clocks. Designed around Analog Devices' AD9545 and HMC7044, it greatly simplifies clock allocation and multi-channel synchronization in complex systems.
It is intended for use by trained professionals in a laboratory setting, not as an end product for commercial use. It can be used as a complete reference design or customized to the needs of any end customer application. Complete design details are provided free of charge.AD-SYNCHRONA14-EBZ uses 1U mechanical configuration. They use the popular industrial connectors SMA and Twinax interfaces, and most LABS already have the required cables.
With its internal OCXO, AD-SYNCHRONA14-EBZ can operate in independent mode or feed from sources, such as three separate high-speed differential clock inputs, a 10 MHz reference, and a PPS input. This flexibility, combined with the ability to select 100 MHz or 122.88 MHz internal VCXO options, provides users with virtually unlimited options to meet the frequency and precision required in a variety of application areas.
